Commerce, not a plugin.

Off-the-shelf LMS commerce breaks the moment you do anything a real business does: bundle, subscribe, sell to a company, or reverse a refund.

FAQ · Straight answers

Frequently asked questions.

Does Kano Store only work with Moodle and Totara, or can we use it with another LMS?

Kano Store is built to connect natively to Moodle and Totara, where enrolment happens the instant payment clears. It can also run as a standalone storefront and integrate with other systems via API, but the native LMS connection is where it does its best work. Tell us your stack and we’ll be straight with you about what’s involved.

How is Kano Store different from Shopify or WooCommerce plugged into our LMS?

Shopify and WooCommerce are excellent storefronts and terrible LMS enrolment engines. The moment a sale has to grant, revoke, or reconcile course access, you’re maintaining a webhook and reconciling by hand, and that reconciliation cost quietly eats your margin. Kano Store treats enrolment as part of the transaction, not an afterthought bolted on with a plugin.

Can we sell to B2B customers with group seats and purchase orders?

Yes. Group seats, license pools, corporate accounts, PO-based purchasing, and delegated seat management by the customer’s own admin are built in, not a workaround. Your B2B buyers get invoicing and a seat dashboard; your finance team gets clean records.

What payment gateways and tax services does Kano Store support?

Kano Store supports the major payment gateways and handles tax/VAT for North American and international selling. We’ll map it to the gateways and tax rules you already use during scoping, so checkout fits your finance stack rather than replacing it.

How long does implementation take, and can we migrate from our current storefront?

Most storefronts go live in 6 to 12 weeks, depending on catalogue size and integrations. We migrate catalogues, customers, and active subscriptions where possible, and we’ll scope the specifics before you commit.

What does Kano Store cost?

Pricing depends on catalogue size, transaction volume, and the integrations you need. Book a demo and we’ll scope it to your actual business, with no obligation.

Is Kano Store SOC 2 certified? Where is our data hosted?

Kano Store is built, hosted, and supported by Lambda Learning, which is SOC 2 Type II certified. Data is hosted on secure, access-controlled infrastructure, with data-residency options for Canadian and US organizations. We’ll walk your security team through the report and tell you exactly where your data sits.
